I went to visit a friend who moved to a new apartment.
Every second she took me to the balcony, full of admiration for the new urban landscape.
But I do not like urban landscapes.
I thought, what does this have to do with me?
I immediately replaced the thought with love, compassion, and joy for her that she was happy with the house and the new landscape.
How annoying it is when we tell our friends about our troubles, and they immediately hurl it at themselves, "For me..."
In these moments, listening, expressing compassion, empathy, helping if possible, from a place of detachment is best.
It's fun to see thoughts, to exchange, to move on, to breathe, to let go.
